KARACHI: A judicial magistrate on Tuesday granted post-arrest bail to a nurse held over alleged kidnapping of a newborn baby from a private hospital.

Six suspects — nurses Reenum and Shirina, Muhammad Waqas, Humaira, Kanwal and Bushra — have been booked for allegedly abducting the infant from the Ahmed Medical Complex in Federal B. Area.

On Tuesday, nurse Reenum moved an application before Judicial Magistrate (Central) Khaliq-uz-Zaman seeking grant of post-arrest bail.

The magistrate granted her bail subject to furnishing a surety of Rs50,000, directing her to cooperate with police during investigation.
