LAHORE: The weather turned pleasant after light rain in different areas of the city on Thursday evening.

A gust of wind in the afternoon reduced the mercury level and citizen came out of their houses to enjoy the weather in the evening.

After Isha prayers, the city witnessed a light rain, bringing the temperatures further down.

The Water and Sanitation Agency reported light rain on Jail Road, in Gulberg, Upper Mall, Mughalpura, Chowk Nakhuda, Gulshan-i-Ravi and Johar Town.

The Met office expected partly cloudy weather in upper districts of the province.

However, light rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely in Murree, Galiyat, Potohar region, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Layyah, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Sheikhupura, Lahore, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal and Gujrat. Hailstorm may also occur at a few places.

Partly cloudy weather is expected in upper districts of the province on Friday (today). However, light rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely in Murree, Galiyat and Potohar region.

A westerly wave is likely to persist in upper/western parts of the country till Friday.
