QUETTA, Dec 4: Opposition parties in the provincial assembly have said that the coalition government of Jam Yousuf should resign because of its failure to maintain law and order, curb corruption in development projects, and ensure just distribution of PSDP funds and owing to its inability to get the NFC award finalized.

Speaking at a joint press conference in the opposition chamber of the assembly secretariat on Sunday, leader of opposition Kachkol Ali and Abdur Rahim Ziaratwal, parliamentary leader of the PMAP, said that the Supreme Court should take notice of recruitments in government departments in violation of rules.

They said that in order to fulfil its constitutional obligations. The opposition had decided to pinpoint the irregularities committed by the coalition government in the province to make the people aware of the situation.

They said that economic progress depended on proper utilization of funds allocated in the public sector development programme (PSDP) but the coalition government had allocated funds only to four districts of the chief minister, senior minister and finance minister.

They called upon the Supreme Court of take notice of irregularities in appointments to protect the rights of deserving candidates who were not called for interviews and tests.

Referring to the law and order situation, they alleged that law-enforcement agencies were patronizing bandits robbers and kidnappers, creating insecurity for the common man.
