KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Wednesday upheld life imprisonment handed down to two men by a model court in a murder case.

A sessions/model court had sentenced Mohammad Yasir and Mohammad Rashid to life in prison in February 2020 for killing Iftikhar in May 2016 within the remit of the Mehmoodabad police station.

The convicts had challenged their conviction before the SHC and after hearing both sides and examining the record and proceedings of the case, a two-judge bench headed by Justice Mohammad Karim Khan Agha dismissed their appeals.

The bench in its order observed that after proper assessment and evaluation of evidence, the guilt of the appellants had been proved.
