DADU, Dec 2: The Dadu taluka municipal administration (TMA) launched a campaign against encroachments here on Friday and removed 20 encroachments at the Tanga Stand while 500 notices were issued to encroachers.

On the directives of the taluka nazim, Dadu, a team of TMA removed 20 encroachments at the Tanga Stand and seized fruit carts. The TMA team also issued notices to 500 encroachers.

After action by the TMA, 100 shopkeepers took out a rally and blocked the Indus Highway at the railway crossing which led to suspension of vehicular traffic. The protesters burnt tyres and raised slogans against the TMA.

The shopkeepers said that the TMA administration had demolished their shops without prior notice, while it had not provided them any alternate place to establish their business.
