HYDERABAD, Dec 2: Sindh People’s Youth’s secretary-general Aajiz Dhamrah has said that the ‘World Tolerance Award’ given to PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto and her acquittal in the PIA reference “has proved that there was no truth in the cases filed against the Bhutto family”.

Speaking at a news conference here on Friday, he said the people of Pakistan considered the family as their ideal and they sincerely believed that only Benazir “can pull the country out of crisis situation”.

He asked the rulers to explain why a reference was filed against her and why millions are being spent on cases against a former elected prime minister who provided jobs to the jobless.

He announced that the People’s Youth of Hyderabad division will give Benazir Bhutto Award to all party activists who were arrested in Lahore on April 16, 2005, for according a warm welcome to Asif Ali Zardari.

Awards will also be given to party’s provincial president Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Ms Naheed Khan, MNA, and Senator Dr Safdar Abbasi for looking after the party prisoners in Lahore.

He said the ceremony will be held in the second week of December in Hyderabad where activists will reaffirm their trust in the leadership of Ms Bhutto and “light earthen lamps with their blood”.
