Meanwhile, the Civil Lines Police, Jacobabad, registered a case against over 100 unidentified JUI workers on the charge of creating law and order situation in Jacobabad.

Similar case was registered by the Shikarpur police against 500 JUI activists including its district chief Abdullah Pahor.

The police maintained that on the orders of the district administration they had sealed district Shikarpur and Indus Highway to prevent JUI people from proceeding to Jacobabad.

When a group of JUI workers led by Abdullah Pahor reached Abdal Shakh, they opened fire on the police party which was returned by the policemen.

JUI activists snatched an official rifle from a policeman and during an hour’s fighting between the activists and the police, 13 JUI workers and some policemen including an ASI were injured.

According to the FIR, those arrested during the scuffle were released by force by the JUI activists.
