ISLAMABAD: Three persons were killed and 13 others injured in a traffic accident on the motorway on Saturday.

According to Rescue 1122, a Rawalpindi-bound passenger bus coming from Dera Ghazi Khan hit a signboard due to speeding at the Fatehjang interchange on M1. The vehicles broke into two pieces and plunged into a ravine.

Rescue teams, including ambulances, recovery vehicles and fire truck, reached the spot and recovered the bodies of the three passengers from the wreckage of the bus along with the injured.

Later, the injured and the bodies were shifted to hospital where the deceased were identified as Mola Bakhsh, 24, Yasir Ali, 17. One of the deceased in his early 30s, is yet to be identified.

The injured were identified as Ahmed Sher, 20, Ghulamullah, 34, Mohammad Ashraf, 35, Ahmed, 21, Allah Dad, 45, Mohammad Ramzan, 35, Abudllah, 20, Mudassar, 30, Shahram, 20, Attiquur Rehman, 27, Mohammad Faizan, 26, Shafehullah, 21, and Aasia, 40.
