KARACHI: A man and a woman were killed when a fast-moving trailer hit their motorcycle in the Shershah area on Saturday, police said.

SITE-B SHO Zawar Husain said that the couple was travelling on a motorbike when the trailer hit and ran them over near Paracha Bridge.

The bodies were shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for completing medico-legal formalities. The victims were aged between 30 and 40 years.

The police said their identities could not be ascertained till late in the night. However, the driver was arrested and the trailer impounded.

Earlier on March 10, a trailer crushed to death a man and his two sons on ICI Bridge when they were returning home from work.
