LAHORE: PML-N dissident MPA Mian Jaleel Sharaqpuri called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at his office and reposed his confidence in the CM.

Mr Buzdar is serving the masses with sincerity and promoting a culture of political tolerance and transparency, he said.

“You have given respect to parliamentarians while ensuring solutions to their problems on a priority basis,” he told the CM.

The CM reiterated that the MPAs were his companions and he took everybody along.

“The respect of parliamentarians was my honour and no compromise would be made over their respect,” he added. He regretted that the opposition was playing with fire as it was oblivious to the critical situation.

Any attempt to destabilise the economy would be tantamount to enmity with the nation as the opposition was trying to impede the journey of development by creating political anarchy in the country, the CM added and asserted that the position would face defeat in the no-confidence move.

PARLIAMENTARIANS: Provincial ministers Ashifa Riaz Fatyana and Muhammad Sibtain Khan and MPA Muhammad Abdullah Warraich met the CM to discuss matters of mutual interest.

The CM maintained that the movers of the no-confidence motion did not even trust themselves and the ‘stunt’ would unnerve the opposition. The opposition would get a memorable surprise because the people knew the looters, he said and added that disappointment was evident on the faces of opposition leaders.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Yasmin Rashid apprised the chief minister of the corona vaccination and anti-dengue measures.

The CM directed the health department and the field administration to remain vigilant in the wake of the changing environment and added that dengue surveillance teams should be fully activated. No tolerance would be shown in this regard because overcoming the dengue spread was important, he added.
