HYDERABAD: A two-day exhibition titled ‘Expo Hyderabad 2022’ showcasing handicrafts and bangles got under way at the local Expo Centre under the auspices of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on Sunday.

As many as 60 stalls of handicrafts, besides three stalls of glass bangles, have been set up in the hall to put products on display.

There are pavilions for universities and deputy commissioners of the region outside the hall as well.

Students from different universities and members of the general public are visiting the exhibition and purchasing the products displayed on the stalls.

Representatives of various universities and trade organisations and members of the general public in a large number were seen taking keen interest and appreciating the exhibits on the first day of the show.

The event was inaugurated by TDAP director general Basit Rauf, Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders & Industries president Mohammad Altaf Memon and Shaheed Allah Bakhsh Soomro University vice chancellor Prof Bhai Khan Shar.

TDAP Hyderabad deputy director Ashiq Hussain Khoso announced at the inauguration ceremony that 15 more such events would be organised in the coming months.
