ISLAMABAD: The Board of Investment (BoI) has decided to brand all regulatory reforms under the ‘Asaan Karobaar Programme’.

A dedicated portal to showcase these reforms, which have been brought to create a business-friendly environment in the country, is also being launched.

A delegation led by BoI Chairman Azfar Ahsan and comprising Secretary Fareena Mazhar and other senior officials briefed President Arif Alvi on the ‘Asaan Karobaar Programme’ on Tuesday. The president was informed that 112 regulatory reforms have been implemented so far involving 70 federal and provincial departments, which have benefited more than 20 activities of the private sector.

The BoI chairman highlighted how these reforms have resulted in facilitation of small and medium businesses in the country. On the directive of prime minister, the reforms process has been expanded across the country.
