GUJAR KHAN: Rescue 1122’s only purpose is to serve people during emergencies, Punjab Emergency Services Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said on Sunday.

He was talking to officials of the organisation during his visit to the offices in Jhelum, Dina and Sohawa.

Dr Naseer said the reason behind his visit to Rescue 1122 offices was to assess the capability of Rescue 1122, resources available to them and what more was needed for the stations in Dina and Sohawa.

He met with the rescue staff and expressed satisfaction over their performance. He also inspected emergency equipment and vehicles.

District Emergency Officer Engineer Saeed Ahmed asked the director general to provide new ambulances to the rescue stations in Dina and Sohawa.
