KARACHI: Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah on Tuesday inaugurated the house-to-house garbage collection and cleaning operation in Shah Faisal Zone of district Korangi.

Speaking at the event, the minister said that the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board had started garbage collection service in Shah Faisal Zone and the work in the two remaining zones of the district would start soon.

He added that the SSWMB workers were not allowed to work in certain parts of the city and had been manhandled by unscrupulous elements.

He warned that action would be taken against the SHO of the area concerned, where SSWMB workers faced any difficulty in their work by such elements.

He claimed that the provincial government was making all-out efforts to make the city clean and green as per the vision of Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
