TOBA TEK SINGH: A man allegedly killed his daughter for honour in Chak 698/40-GB on Tuesday.

The Arrouti police said Sidra Bibi was a divorcee and some three months ago, she eloped with Qaiser Abbas Sial, of Chak 124/15-L, Khanewal.

A few days ago, her father Allah Ditta brought her back home through a village jury and on Tuesday, he strangled her with a rope.

The police arrested the accused.

BURNT: A truckload of cotton bales was burnt on Tuesday in Faisalabad’s Chak 93-GB locality.

Rescue 1122 said the upper portion of the truck touched the live wires and as a result, it caught fire.

Both the truck and the load were gutted.

HELD: A transgender was arrested for beating a man.

An FIR registered under sections 337, 342 and 355 of the Pakistan Penal Code by the Balochni (Faisalabad) police on Tuesday said Abdul Rehman, of Chak 59-GB, went to Adda Balochni to seek a job some weeks ago. There he met Yaqoob who took him to the house of transgender Mehvish.

They offered him to get removed his genitals and join their gender ranks. On his refusal, the suspects beat him, made his footage in objectionable condition and extorted Rs200,000 from him for not uploading the video online.

The police arrested Mehvish, while two nominated and four unidentified people were yet to be arrested.
