RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Noorul Amin Mengal on Friday directed the department concerned to rehabilitate Divisional Public College building abandoned for the last 17 years and start bachelor of science (BS) classes.

Keeping in view the increasing number of admission seekers, he approved construction of second floor in girls branch of Divisional Public School and purchase of new furniture for classrooms.

Likewise, construction of a block for employees and a store was also approved.

He gave these instructions during a meeting of the Board of Governors meeting of Divisional Public School and College Rawalpindi. He gave approval of various initiatives in the meeting.

According to details, construction of hostel in the college was also approved.

Prioritising the vision of quality and affordable education, the commissioner ordered setting up of DPS system at tehsil and district level.

In order to make quality education in reach of everyone, fee structure will also be revised.
