KARACHI, Nov 27: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi declared on Sunday the results of HSC part-I (Class XI) annual exams 2005, Commerce Group (Regular).

According to a notification, a total of 22,095 candidates were registered including 14,028 male and 8,067 female of which 21,680 including 13,707 male and 7973 female appeared in the exams.

Statistics shows that 4,977 male candidates passed seven papers, 2,781 six papers, 1,933 cleared five papers, 1,454 four papers, 1,101 passed three, 751 two papers and 512 cleared only one paper.

4,616 female candidates passed all the papers, 1,608 cleared six, 891 passed five papers, 442 cleared four, 223 passed three papers, 117 cleared two and 51 passed only one paper.

Result of one male candidate was withheld. Besides seven cases of using unfair means in the examinations were reported in which legal procedure is being observed to decide the matter.—PPI
