QUETTA, Nov 25: Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, the provincial Amir of JUI-F, has alleged that some political groups were trying to create an atmosphere of uncertainty in the province to gain political advantage. He said his party would not take any step which might have any adverse effect on the political atmosphere.

In a statement issued here on Friday, he said that a meeting of the party’s parliamentary group and provincial executive committee had discussed provincial issues, local body polls and organizational matters.

The meeting adopted a resolution condemning what it called atrocities perpetrated on Maulana Noorul Islam, a party leader of Wadh, by guards of a tribal chieftain and said that the attack had exposed the people who claimed to be champions of democracy and tribal traditions.
