ISLAMABAD, Nov 25: A NATO relief plane carrying 3,070 thermal sleeping bags and 3,730 blankets arrived in the country. A press release issued on Friday by the embassy of Pakistan in Switzerland said that the consignment was arranged by the Swiss-Pakistan Society in collaboration with the Pakistani embassy, Berne and Habib Bank AG Zurich.

It was the 9th consignment of relief goods sent by the Swiss-Pakistan Society, and the second airlifted by the NATO.

The first consignment airlifted by the NATO, which reached Pakistan on Nov 17, carried 59 tons of relief goods.—APP
