KARACHI: Two die in accidents

KARACHI, Nov 25: Two persons died in separate road accidents in different parts of the city on Friday. An elderly man was disembarking from a UTS bus near airport when he lost his balance and got crushed beneath the rare wheels of the bus. Driver escaped from the spot.

In a hit-and-run accident, a motorcyclist died in Bin Qasim Town. Police said that Wakil, a motorcyclist, was knocked down near Bin Qasim Mor by a speeding bus. The victim died on the spot. Police sent the body to the JPMC for legal formalities.

BODY FOUND: A strangulated body of a middle-aged man was recovered near Mazar-i-Quaid in the limits of Brigade police station.

Police said that the victim was identified as Muhammad Maqsood, 40, a resident of Lee Market.

Police said that Maqsood was kidnapped on Thursday night by unknown persons who killed him and dumped his body near the mausoleum. Police are investigating the matter.
