Pakistan has detected 6,357 new cases of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, down from 7,195 a day earlier, along with 17 additional fatalities.
Moreover, the national positivity rate was recorded at 12.8 per cent, marking six straight days that it has remained above 10pc.
The countrywide breakdown during the last 24 hours is as follows:
- Sindh: 2,319 cases, 5 deaths
- Punjab: 1,733 cases, 9 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 343 cases, 2 deaths
- Balochistan: 34 cases
- Islamabad: 1,836 cases
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 18 cases
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 74 cases, 1 death
