Expo 2006

ISLAMABAD, Nov 25: The Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Commerce has directed the Export Promotion Bureau for making transparent arrangements of the Expo 2006.

The committee headed by national assembly member Iqbal Muhammad Ali Khan in a meeting held on Friday expressed its reservations over the arrangements of the previous Expo 2005.

An official announcement said the committee discussed matters regarding the Expo 2006 which will be held from March 29 to April 2, 2006 in Karachi.

The committee directed the EPB for foolproof arrangements for the exhibition.

The ministry of commerce was also directed that members of the committee should be involved in the process so that arrangements might be up to the mark and transparent.

The meeting was attended by MNAs Muhammad Farhan Latif, Ms Tahira Asif, Sahibzada Haroon Rashid, Ms Afsar Begum, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Muhammad Pervaiz Malik and Sardar Muhammad Jaffar Khan Leghari.
