Son of Wapda employee kidnapped

MULTAN, Nov 23: The five-year-old son of a Wapda employee was kidnapped by three people from the New Multan area while he was going home after attending the school on Wednesday, police said. They picked Arsalan Ahmad in front of the private school at U block here, put him in the their Cultus and sped away leaving the elder sister of the boy behind.

Tehseen Aalam, the father of the boy informed the police which have started investigation.

Police said it was unclear so far whether the boy was kidnapped for ransom.

SENTENCED: Multan sessions judge on Wednesday sentenced three drug pushers to imprisonment of different durations in three cases.

Abdul Aziz, who was apprehended with 250 grams of hashish by Jalilabad police, was sentenced to one-year imprisonment.

Saeed, who was also arrested with the same quantity of the contraband, was sentenced to six-month jail.

The court handed down six-month term to Riaz who was arrested by Makhdoom Rashid police with 210 grams of hashish.—APP
