LAHORE: In a major reshuffle in bureaucracy on Wednesday, the Punjab government changed 12 administrative secretaries, including Punjab local government and community development secretary Noorul Amin Mengal.

Mr Mengal’s transfer comes at a time when he was coordinating with the Election Commission of Pakistan for the next LG election in Punjab. He has now been posted as youth affairs and sports department secretary whereas Dr Naeem Rauf, awaiting posting in S&GAD, has been posted as LG&CD secretary.

Cooperatives department secretary Ahmad Raza Sarwar was posted as law and parliamentary affairs secretary relieving public prosecution department secretary Nadeem Sarwar of the additional charge of the post.

Punjab youth affairs and sports department secretary Fuad Hashim Rabbani has been transferred and posted as cooperatives department secretary.

Punjab literacy and non-formal basic education (L&NFBE) department secretary Sumaira Samad has been posted as social welfare and Baitul maal department secretary against a vacant post.

Dr Nasir Iqbal Malik, awaiting posting in S&GAD, has been posted as Punjab management and professional development department against a vacant post.

Punjab transport department secretary and transport authority chairman Wajihullah Kundi has been posted as Punjab L&NFBE secretary.

Member (judicial-VII) BOR Muhammad Yaqoob has been transferred and posted as member CMIT, Punjab, against a vacant post.

DG archaeology Muhammad Ilyas Gill has been transferred and posted as member (judicial-VII) BOR.

Communication and works (South Punjab) secretary Usman Ali Khan has been posted as DG (archaeology).

Awaiting posting in S&GAD, Nasir Jamal Hotiana has been posted as livestock and dairy development secretary against a vacant post.

TEVTA chief operating officer Manzoor Husain has been posted as transport department secretary and provincial transport authority chairman.

Awaiting posting in S&GAD, Jawad Akram has been posted as auqaf and religious affairs chief administrator.
