FAISALABAD, Nov 20: An England cricket fan, who came to watch the ongoing Pakistan-England Test series, died of heart attack, an England team official said on Sunday.

“I can confirm that an English fan has suffered an unfortunate death due to heart attack but I have no more details,” England team media manager Andrew Walpole said.

Robert Padmore, 45, suffered the heart attack on Sunday evening and died after he was given medical treatment, according to an official of Sandal Bar hotel where the English fan was staying.

Eye witnesses said England team doctor Peter Gregory and an England security official rushed to the hotel but failed to save him.—AFP
