Fahim says opposition being ignored

Published November 20, 2005

ISLAMABAD, Nov 19: Alliance for Restoration of Democracy Chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that the government has decided not to take along the opposition in making major decisions. Talking to a private TV channel on Saturday, he said therefore, the government neither brought the issue of the International Donors Conference in parliament nor took the opposition in confidence in this regard.

He said that the government briefed the opposition parties only on decisions of minor nature and never contacted them on major decisions of national level.

Answering a question, the ARD chief said that the political parties present in parliament were sending relief goods to earthquake-stricken areas according to their capacity. —-Online
