KARACHI, Nov 18: The police on Friday obtained the remand of three suspects accused of carrying out PIDC bomb blast, in another case of arms and explosives registered against them at the Gulshan-i-Iqbal police station.

The suspects Aziz Baloch, Mengal Khan and Abdul Jabbar Khan were produced before the Judicial Magistrate South, who gave the suspects in police custody till Nov 25.

A car packed with 5 kg of explosive material exploded killing three persons wounding 21 others outside the PIDC House on Tuesday morning. DIG Investigation Manzoor Mughal said a car (AJE-056) was intercepted by the police near Gulshan Chowrangi and found the three suspects, Aziz, Mengal and Jabbar. After carrying out search of the car, police found three kg of explosive, two grenades and one Kalashnikov rifle and two TT pistols and ammunition.

An FIR (582/05) under section 13-D of arms ordinance and under section 4/5 of the Explosives Act was registered at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station against the three suspects.
