Qatar Airways has said it has banned entry to travellers from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique due to the spread of a new variant of Covid-19 first detected in South Africa, reports Reuters.
On the other hand, the World Health Organisation has cautioned countries against hastily imposing travel restrictions linked to the new Omicron variant of Covid-19, saying they should take a "risk-based and scientific approach".
