Rangers, Indian BSF meeting

LAHORE, Nov 15: The biannual meeting between the Pakistan Rangers and the Indian Border Security Force is being held in Chandigarh, India, from Nov 16 to 19. The Pakistani side will be led by Rangers Director-General, Sindh, Maj-Gen Javaid Zia and the Indian side by its Border Security Force Inspector General N.P.S. Aulakh, says a handout issued here on Tuesday.

They will discuss matters relating to joint patrolling, illegal border crossing and the repair of boundary structures. It will also discuss how to handle smugglers of narcotics and other goods, and those who mistakenly cross border.

The Pakistan delegation will leave for India on Wednesday. It will return on Nov 19.
