Pakistan has reported 482 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, marking the first time since October 2020 that the country detected less than 500 infections.

On Oct 18, 2020, 440 coronavirus cases were reported.

Less than 1,000 cases have been reported every day for over 15 days while the positivity rate has also dropped to 1.2 per cent.

The breakdown of cases in the last 24 hours is as follows:

  • Punjab: 120
  • Sindh: 215
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 106
  • Balochistan: 15
  • Islamabad: 25
  • Gilgit Baltistan: 0
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 1
