LAHORE, Nov 13: Former PML-Q president Mian Azhar on Sunday exchanged views with Begum Abida Husain and Syed Fakhr Imam on the prevailing political situation in the country.

In a statement, Mian Azhar said the situation was heading towards fresh elections, and the political forces should get united to mount pressure on the rulers to set up an independent election commission.

He said a new government and new assemblies could bring stability to the country.

He said the coming few weeks were important for political changes.
