HYDERABAD, Nov 13: As many as 4,106 candidates including 2,254 girl candidates appeared in a test for admission to MBBS in the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro here on Sunday.

The test was conducted by the National Testing Service Islamabad and Liaquat Medical University administration at the Public School Latifabad, Hyderabad.

The vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Jan Mohammad Memon inspected examination blocks to oversee the arrangement.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Memon said that the degree of LUMHS was universally recognized and that was the reason that thousands of students were desirous of seeking admission in the university.

He claimed that many job opportunities existed for qualified doctors in public and private sectors.

The test for admission to medical institutions were simultaneously held in the Chandka Medical College, Larkana and Sardar Ghulam Mohammad Mahar College Sukkur.

The candidates, 1,089 men and 963 girls appeared in the admission test in Larkana.
