Pakistan has reported less than 1,000 coronavirus cases for the third day in a row. During the last 24 hours, the country recorded 663 Covid cases, while a day earlier 720 cases were reported.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 39,902 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours. The total number of cases has risen to 1,265,047 and the death toll is 28,280.

The positivity rate was recorded as 1.66 per cent.

Breakdown of cases and deaths reported:

  • Sindh: 333 cases, 1 death
  • Punjab: 181 cases, 7 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 112 cases, 3 deaths
  • Islamabad: 24 cases
  • Balochistan: 8 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 5 cases
