KU pay dearly for dropped catches

KARACHI, Nov 11: The four-day Quaid-i-Azam Gold League cricket Championship match between Karachi Urban (KU) and Multan was evenly poised on the penultimate day at National Stadium Thursday.

When stumps were drawn for the day Multan in their second innings were 165 for the loss of three wickets.

Saeed Anwar Junior was unbeaten on 69 with eight hits to the ropes. Muhammad Ali Naizi was batting on 22, having added 42-runs for the unbroken fourth wicket.

KU have to blame themselves to allow Multan recover as Saeed Anwar was dropped on 34 and 48 by Farhan Adil and Khurram Manzoor.

Multan have now lead by 247 runs with seven wickets in hand.

KH earlier resuming at 180 for five were bowled out for 281 in their first innings thus taking 18 run first inning lead.

Wasim Naeem hit a fine 56 with eight fours while Tanveer Ahmed contributed 29 in 31 balls banging five forceful boundaries. Tahir Khan hit four boundaries in his 20.
