Traders observe strike in Quetta

QUETTA, Nov 11: On the call of action committee of political parties and a traders’ organization, businessmen observed a strike here on Friday to protest against the killing of a city resident a by officials of an intelligence agency.

They were demanding arrest of the Intelligence officials nominated in the FIR.

Shopping and business centres and shops on Jinnah Road, Circular Road, Surajganj Bazaar, Shara-i-Iqbal, Shara-i-Liaquat, Prince Road, Kasi Road, Sirki Road and Mission Chowk remained closed.

The strike call was given by the committee comprising representative of Jamait Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl), Awami National Party, Balochistan National Party (Mengal) and Anjuman-i-Tajran to pressure on the authorities to ensure arrest of the officials accused of killing Abdul Saboor Kakar on Sirki Road on October 31.
