LAHORE, Nov 11: Three temporary police posts were set up in Kasur on Friday to help control crime and improve patrolling in the crime-prone areas. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Kasur DPO Ahmad Mobin which was attended by business representatives besides other police officials.

The areas were Bedian, Raiwind Bypass and Chak Deda. Vehicles, wireless sets and other facilities had been provided to the posts.

“It will help check crime on small roads leading to various villages,” the DPO told the meeting.

The meeting also discussed in detail security measures with the representatives of the Industrial Management Association, who assured of hiring private guards for their premises. They also agreed to providing private guards with licensed weapons and motorcycles for patrolling.

Later, the DPO directed his force to complete investigation of cases within the given time and submit them to courts of law.

He warned them of strict action for illegal detention, custodial killings and escape for police custody. He directed the force to register cases of all types of crime without any discrimination.
