RAWALPINDI: Police on Friday apprehended two persons on the charge of abducting two sisters and sexually assaulting one of them.

The rape victim in the first information report (FIR) registered with the Saddar Barooni police stated that she along with her younger sister was going to a market on Sept 25 when four people riding a car

intercepted them near a shopping centre at Girja Road. She said the suspects dragged them into their car and drove to an undisclosed destination where they detained them. Four days later, they shifted the sisters to a house in Tench Bhatta.

The complainant alleged that she was subjected to rape by the four men in front of her younger sister.

Police said two of the suspects had been arrested and medical examination of the victim carried out. Raids are underway to arrest the remaining suspects, said the police.
