KASUR: Three people suffered injuries in two building collapse incidents at Landa Bazaar in the last two days.

Fazal, 70, suffered injuries when a portion of his dilapidated house collapsed on Thursday. The injured was taken to the DHQ hospital for treatment.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Ali Sharif, 18, and his sister Muqadas Bibi, 16, were injured when the building they were residing in collapsed. A team of the Rescue 1122 took out the injured from the debris and shifted them to the DHQ hospital.

Most buildings in the area are in a state of disrepair and the residents have been using these with little alterations.

MISSING: A prayer leader of a mosque has been missing for the last 10 days.

The A-Division police have registered a case against unidentified people and arrested a suspect on Thursday.

Prayer leader Waqar Aziz left Karkhanaywali Masjid on Shahbaz Road on Sept 13 for his home at Barat Shah area but did not reach there. Police arrested Muhammad Arshad, owner of the house Aziz had rented.

Police claimed to have recovered the motorcycle and mobile phone of Aziz. Police said the suspect claimed during interrogation that Aziz had given his mobile phone and bike against Rs100,000 which he took as loan from Arshad.
