Sugarcane crushing from 15th

NAWABSHAH, Nov 8: The three sugar mills in Nawabshah district will start cane crushing from Nov 15. These sugar mills are: the Habib Sugar Mills Limited Nawabshah, Sakrand Sugar Mills, Qazi Ahmed and Al-Noor Sugar Mills, Shahpur Jehanian.

The resident director of the Habib Sugar Mills, Mr Mohammad Yousuf, told this scribe that the mill boilers were lightened and crushing would start from November 15.

He said that the rate of sugarcane was fixed at Rs48 per 40 kg by the government.

He said that he was in touch with other two sugar mills of the district and Al-Noor Sugar Mills, Shahpur Jehanian and Sakrand Sugar Mills, Qazi Ahmed would also start crushing by Nov 15.
