CHAGAI: Residents of three small towns of Chagai district located along the Pak-Iran border recently brought outa procession in support of their demand for construction of Nokundi-Mashkel road in accordance with the old alignment.

The protesters from Guwalishtop, Raajay and Wadiyan opposed the new alignment, urging the department concerned to construct the road in keeping with the old alignment being used since the British era.

Addressing the protesters, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl local emir Maulvi Abdullah Hassanzai, National Party leader Wahid Bakhsh Sherzai and tribal leader Abdul Sattar Yarmuhamadzai said that the National Highways Authority was ignoring the areas along the Pak-Iran border.

They said the areas along the border were being deprived of connectivity.
