JI deputy general secretary Hafiz Yaqoobur Rehman and information secretary Riaz Mohammad told mediapersons in Timergara that a jirga of politicians and area elders from Lower Dir and Upper Dir, including former MNAs Mohammad Yaqoob Khan, Sahibzada Tariqullah, Maulana Asadullah, former MPA Malik Bahram Khan and Shad Nawaz along with other influential, had held talks with elders of both the parties.

They said that the rival parties had agreed to remain peaceful for some days during which the jirga would try its best to resolve the dispute.
