DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Dera police on Monday arrested a member of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

A police spokesperson said that the outlaw, Sohail Ayaz aka Sohail, a resident of Thoya Fazal area, was arrested in a raid led by SDPO Dera city Fazal Rahim Khan and SHO Cantonment Sardar Azeem Khan Wazir.

The terrorist was involved in a bomb blast targeting a Muharram procession on Thoya Fazil Road opposite the Najafabad Colony in 2012. The explosion had claimed lives of six persons and caused injuries to 24 others.

A case was registered against him in the cantonment police station.
