LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party alleges that police and other authorities are harassing its candidates in the Cantonment Board polls due on Sept 12.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Punjab chapter general secretary Hassan Murtaza and information secretary Shehzad Cheema alleged that Tariq Siddiqui advocate, an aspirant from Ward No-2, was the particular target of the administration and announced moving the Election Commission against the alleged highhandedness by the state functionaries not allowing a free hand to the opposition parties candidates to actively take part in the polls.
