The total number of coronavirus-related fatalties in Pakistan has surpassed 26,000, with 57 deaths reported over the past 24 hours.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported the highest number of deaths among all provinces at 26. The death toll from the deadly virus now stands at 26,035 in the country.

Pakistan has also reported 3,787 Covid-19 infections during the last 24 hours, which has taken the national infection tally to 1,171,578. The positivity rate is 6.33 per cent.

A breakdown of the cases and deaths reported in the country over the past 24 hours is as follows:

  • Punjab: 1368 cases, 20 deaths
  • Sindh: 1228 cases, 8 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 667 cases, 26 deaths
  • Islamabad: 332 cases, 2 deaths
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 104 cases
  • Balochistan: 47 cases
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 41 cases, 1 death
