Govt drugs found in private hospital

GUJAR KHAN, Nov 6: A team formed by the deputy district health officer (DDHO) sealed a private hospital after it recovered a huge consignment of government medicines from there during a raid.

Acting on a complaint, a medical team, headed by Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Sehr, along with the local police raided a private hospital in Guliana village and seized medicines issued by the executive district officer (health), Rawalpindi, for government hospitals.

Dr Saleem, who was running the hospital, was not present at the time of the raid.

The medical team sealed the hospital and arrested the hospital staff.

Dr Saleem works at a basic health unit (BHU) on contract basis in Dera Muslim village situated about 5kms from Guliana. Case was not registered till the filing of this report.
