RAWALPINDI: An Afghan national was gunned down in Pirwadhai while a woman and her two sons were injured when a pressure cooker exploded in their house at Morgah on Sunday.

Initial police investigation showed that Mukhtiar Khan, an Afghan national who came to Pakistan two days ago, was visiting his brother-in-law Fida Khan’s house in Pirwadhai when another man identified as Bakhtiar shot him dead and escaped.

Police said the motive behind the murder was an old enmity. The boy of the victim was shifted to hospital for a post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Nazia, 38, was in her kitchen when the pressure cooker exploded.

Rescue services reached the house and shiftedthewoman along with her sons Sher Ali, 17, and Haider Ali, 15, to hospital where they were stated to be out of danger.
