SAHIWAL: Chichawatni police claimed on Tuesday to have resolved blind murder of a six years old girl after eight months as complainant of the case turned out to be her killer.

Ghaziabad Station House Officer Ali Kazmi said victim girl Abeha’s father contracted second marriage and the girl was tormented by her stepmother.

He sent his daughter to one of his relatives at Ghaziabad.

The SHO said another relative Mushtaq took her to his house, allegedly raped her and strangled her on Jan 19.

He said Mushtaq, a graveyard caretaker, buried her and later lodged a complaint with the police.

The SHO said police checked phone call data of Mushtaq and found that he had been harassing boys and girls. He said police took Mustaq into custody and he confessed to killing the girl.
