ACC meeting rescheduled

ISLAMABAD, Jan 23: The Asian Cricket Council meeting which was to be held in Sharjah on Feb 13 has been rescheduled.

The meeting, to be chaired by ACC chief Lt Gen Tauqir Zia, will now be held on Feb 17-18 at the same venue.

The agenda, that includes India’s withdrawal from the Asian Test Championship, remains unchanged.

Also on the agenda is the setting up of an ACC secretariat either in the UAE, Nepal or Malaysia. The development programme from April 2002 to March 2003 is also likely to be approved.

The ACC moot will be preceded by a meeting of the Asian Cricket Foundation on Feb 16, which was originally scheduled for Feb 12.
