RAWALPINDI: A transgender person was found murdered in Shah Khalid colony on Wednesday.

The transgender person, who is yet to be identified, had been residing in a room rented out by a woman.

Police said the murder came to light when the owner of the room observed odour emitting from the room.

Later, the police shifted the body to hospital for postmortem.

Initial police report suggested that the victim’s body had been decomposed as he seemed to be killed two or three days ago.

In Pirwadhai, a man was murdered over a petty issue between two people residing in a building.

Police have registered a case against three persons, including two women and a man suspected to be a hired assassin.
