Pakistan's Covid-19 death toll has risen to 24,004 after the country reported 86 fatalities during the last 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 49,506 tests were conducted during this period and 3,884 came back positive. The total number of cases has risen to 1,075,504 and the positivity ratio is 7.84 per cent.

Punjab has reported the highest number of deaths during the last 24 hours with 38 fatalities, followed by 20 in Sindh.

Breakdown of Covid-19 cases and deaths reported during the last 24 hours:

  • Sindh: 1,390 cases, 20 deaths
  • Punjab: 1,144 cases, 38 deaths
  • Islamabad: 557 cases, 5 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 437 cases, 14 deaths
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 219 cases, 4 deaths
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 80 cases, 4 deaths
  • Balochistan: 57 cases, 1 death
